Nonviolent Social Change

June 18-20, 2010

Celebration Center
Aliquippa, PA

During our time together, we will explore meanings and techniques of nonviolent social change. Such stunning individuals in this field as Jane Addams, Morris Dees, Desmond Tutu, Martin Luther King, Jr., and Dorothy Day as well as other lesser known individuals will be considered. We will ponder the role of faith in what we do to create a better world.

Speaker: The Reverend Moni McIntyre, PhD
The Reverend Moni McIntyre, Rector of Holy Cross Episcopal Church in the Homewood area of Pittsburgh, also serves as Assistant Professor at the Graduate Center for Social and Public Policy at Duquesne University, Pittsburgh. She retired from the U.S. Naval Reserve in 2008 after 28 years of service and currently holds the rank of Captain (0-6).
